Bowser Guide Introduction

One of the oldest characters in Super Smash Brothers, Bowser returns to the game in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate in his usual form, a heavyweight bruiser. He's been buffed quite a bit, and for the most part is much stronger in this version of the game than he was in previous versions.

Notably is his new heavy armor mechanic during the start of all his tilt and smash attacks, making him a powerful trader.

Bowser Combos

In terms of true combos, Bowser really has very little and largely prefers using his large-scale hits and priority to trade effectively. Against larger heavy characters he can combo off his up throw and various aerials.

Bowser Tips

• Bowser's Fire Breath can be used as an effective ledge-guard tool or follow-up to end a combo for recovering some spacing.
• Bowser's Up B is significantly better than it used to be, and vertically it's unexpectedly good

Who's the greatest nemesis of all!? It's King Bowser! In Super Smash Bros. his power and weight make him a reliable fighter. Use his Fire Breath to keep opponents at bay, then use his damaging attacks to launch them off the stage! He transforms into Giga Bowser for his Final Smash and delivers a super powerful punch!
