Ike Guide Introduction
Not quite the OG swordsman, he's one one of the earlier fire emblem characters that made it to the Smash franchise. What his recovery lacks in mix-ups, it makes up for in simplicity. That being said, he's got some extremely powerful range for a melee character and his kill potential is through the roof.Ike Amiibo
Ike Combos
Ike's combos mostly lie in his ability to buffer his jab combo after his aerials. Generally here's your classic shield pressure combo:
- Neutral Air
- A + A + A
This can of course be mixed up with other air attacks as well.
Ike Tips
- Try not to spam his smash too much since it has a high amount of delay
- Always follow up your aerial attacks with either jabs or a grab
- Focus on his Forward Air, Up Air, and Neutral Air most of the time.
- His Back Air is extremely fast, but the hitbox is very small.
- Recovery can be performed using both his Up + B or his Side + B depending on how close to the stage you are
Ike's Special Moves
Official Smash Video
Ike's side smash attack is extremely powerful, but it leaves him open, so you'll need to read your opponent's moves carefully. You can choose between his Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn costumes.
